Hi,
I am using Eprime 1.2 and the Tobii TET Extension. We want to present a large image in the center of the screen, and use the HitTest method to find out what part of the image people are looking at (e.g., top-left, top-right, etc.). However, if we make the entire image the AOI, we can't differentiate different areas of it being hit. We can think of two solutions to this. We can split the large image into a bunch of little ones, with each one being a different AOI (this is really not good for us, however, for many reasons). The second option is to put transparent images on top of the large one, and allow each transparent image to act as an AOI. The problem with this, however, is that we must input a image file into any image, and whatever image we input can be seen superimposed onto the larger image. We've tried shifting the larger image into the foreground, but this makes the transparent images not act as AOIs.

So, the question is either how can we make transparent images that can be put on top of a larger image, or, if it is impossible, what is the best solution to our problem with the large image AOIs. Thanks,
-Darko

Dear Darko

I met the simmilar problem like you.
As the solution, we applied the text object as the transparent AOI.
This worked well.

Best wish.
